Participant Satisfaction
We are committed to the ongoing improvement of our services, and encourage all participants to contribute with their suggestions.
Concerns relating to facilities, course materials, other participants, Instructors, or staff members should be directed to the Training Coordinator, or Principal Officers Patrick or Cheryl Connolly.
A copy of our Grievance Procedure and Policy will be issued to all participants upon request.
Evaluation forms are also a vital part of this process, please use them, and don't be shy with your comments.
Note: all evaluations and feedback are kept confidential.
Confidentiality
All participant details, personal and academic, will remain confidential. Participants may request a copy at any time. Instructor details are also confidential: please don't ask for their home phone numbers.
If you need to contact an instructor it must be done through the Healthguard First Aid office. We will contact the Instructor and pass your message onto them.
Note: It is a Healthguard First Aid policy NOT to give out Instructors' phone numbers.
Student Privacy Notice
Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012 and National VET Data Policy (which includes the National VET Provider Collection Data Requirements Policy), Registered Training Organisations are required to collect and submit data compliant with AVETMISS for the National VET Provider Collection for all Nationally Recognised Training. This data is held by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER), and may be used and disclosed for the following purposes:
· populate authenticated VET transcripts;
· facilitate statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage;
· pre-populate RTO student enrolment forms;
· understand how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and
· administer VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.
You may receive a student survey which may be administered by a government department or NCVER employee, agent or third party contractor or other authorised agencies. Please note you may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.
NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the National VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER's website at www.ncver.edu.au).

Please turn off mobile phones at all times when classes are being conducted.
If you are going to be absent, please phone and let us know as soon as possible.
It is important that you are punctual, as latecomers disturb the entire class.
Certificate Requests
Certificates will be issued at the completion of a class/course when assessments have been satisfactorily completed. PLEASE NOTE, THAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL THE UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI) HAS BEEN ALSO BEEN PROVIDED
Safety
To ensure the safety of our students studying at our training facility, we have implemented the following services:
- car parking areas are within 30moftheof the training facility and are visible from the training facility. The area from the facility to the carpark is fully lit and there are no dark or dimly lit areas.
- If required, students can be escorted to their vehicles or public transport during the hours of darkness.
- all students who drive/ride a motor vehicle are issued with a parking permit.
To ensure the safety of our students where delivery of instruction is at the client's workplace/training facility, we have implemented the following:
-The client/employer is aware of their requirements regarding the safety of its employees, and that processes are in place for the employee to travel safely to and from the workplace.
Coursesscheduledwithintheclients workplace/training facility: Healthguard First Aid instructors will comply with the following workplace health and safety procedures.
-comply withtheclients safety and security protocols.
- ensure trainers/students are aware of the facilities emergency management/evacuation
-clients training facility is suitable for the delivery of instruction and complies with relevant workplace safety strandards.
- Confirmthattheemployerhasadequatesafetyprotocals for the access and egress of itsemployes and visitors.
Fees
Information on fees is included in the course promotional materials such as course brochures and flyers and is also available through our website. This information includes:

Course fees plus any other additional costs such as administration fees, materials fees and any other charges

Payment terms, including the timing and amount of fees to be paid

Any non-refundable deposit/administration fee

We do not charge any fees upfront. Students are required to pay tuition fees in a 'pay as you study' option.
Refund Policy
As a learner, you pay an agreed fee upon enrolment of a course of study. Course fees will be accounted for separately and are not invoiced until course commencement.
If a learner is deemed not yet competent, they may attend any other scheduled course at no charge, PROVIDED there is notanunacceptablelevelofnon attendance to the class/es.
Credit Transfers
We recognise and accept the credentials issued by another registered training organisation based in any State/Territory of Australia. This can include a Statement of Attainment for specific courses or units of competency, or it may be a complete qualification such as certificate or diploma.
Aspartofthisrecognition we verify the issuing organisation's registration status on the Training Australia's database.
Grievances
Should you have a complaint or wish to appeal an assessment decision we have a documented
procedure that covers how to initiate a complaint or appeal. contact the Operations Manager on
1300 001 302 to discuss how to proceed. Should you have a complaint or grievance with the
Operations Manager contact your trainer who will put you in contact with an independent person
in our organisation.
